Amidst the conflict between Governor Fubara and former FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the nine commissioners, who are well-known supporters of Wike, resigned from their separate positions.

However, they are returning to the Fubara government as a part of President Bola Tinubu’s peace accord.

During the Commissioners’ swearing-in ceremony on Friday at Government House, Port Harcourt, Fubara stressed the importance of their involvement in activities that would leave a lasting impression on future generations.

Governor Fubara reminded them that they had already read the charge as it was stated in their oath of office and urged them to protect and defend the constitution.

“I hope your return goes well. Stand up for our beloved state’s interests as well as for justice. That is the reality and the reason for your appointment.

“I see how sorrowful your hearts are. However, I want you to know that none of you are targets of mine. When there was crossfire, you were caught in the middle.

Governor Fubara continued, saying, “I will suggest that you give it your all. As I already stated, may this State and future generations remember you for your noble deeds.
