He continued, “They claimed that John Mahanan misled them and had illegal carnal knowledge of the girls.

“As soon as the DPO, SP Agu Oliver C, and crew received the complaint, the suspect was promptly taken into custody.

He states, “Both the suspect and the victims were taken to the Cottage Hospital for medical examination where it was discovered that the 4-year-old girl had an abrasion on her upper thigh and blood stained Vulva with a Turn Hymen, while there was evidence of penetration in the 8-year-old’s vagina by the suspect’s penis.

However, according to the CP, an inquiry is still ongoing.

The Command is happy to report that one of the suspects, Salisu Adamu, 30, of Minta village in Bassa LGA, has been detained in connection with the kidnapping.

“An additional examination by the commander of the anti-kidnapping unit showed that the suspect is an escapee from the most recent Jos Prison Jailbreak of 2020.

He stated that the suspect “admitted to the crime and mentioned several of his gang mates who are presently on the run.

He stated that further effort was being made to apprehend the evading suspects.

In addition, credible intelligence resulted in the capture of two infamous and wanted criminals, the CP continued.

“The thieves were ultimately tracked down and apprehended at their hideout in Angwan Mata, Jos, by the DPO “A” division CSP Obinna S. Okpuru and crew.

“The accused are two male Angwan Mata, Gada-Biu residents named Shammah Emmanuel, 20, and Joseph Seth, 19, both known by the aliases Hitman and Small Seth.

According to preliminary inquiry, the accused are members of vicious syndicates that terrorise the Gada-Biu and Rukuba Road axis in Jos North LGA and specialise in robbing unwary victims at gunpoint of their phones and other valuables.
