Eighty-five alleged criminals have been apprehended by Jigawa State police after raids on criminals’ hideouts.
In a statement on Tuesday, police spokesman DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed the situation.
He claimed that a raid in the local government regions of Dutse, Kazaure, Taura, Sara, and Maigatari resulted in the arrest.
He states, “The Jigawa Police conducted raids at various black spots and criminal hideouts in Dutse, Kazaure, Taura, Sara, and Maigatari Divisional Police Headquarters from May 1 to May 15, 2024.”

“Eighty-five suspects were arrested with exhibits during the raid.”
He added that among the items they have are four blocks, two hundred and fifty pieces of D5 tablets, and two hundred and fifty wraps of dried leaves that appear to be Indian hemp.
Along with 29 pieces of Exol tablets, there are also 40 pieces of Tramadol tablets, 42 bottles of soak and die substance, four packets, and 37 pieces of rubber solutions.
After an investigation, Shiisu added, the suspects would be brought before the court.
