A 75-year-old man was taken into custody by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly trying to rape a 25-year-old woman.
According to information obtained by Obasanjo news24 on Tuesday, the man, Emmanuel Jaja, was taken into custody by the police in Mukuvinyi Village, Hong Local Government Area.
Suleiman Nguroje, the public relations officer for the state police, stated in a statement made available to journalists that the man who had invited the young woman to his home attempted to take full advantage of her presence there.

Nguroje claimed, “He invited his victim to his house and then abruptly advanced forcefully to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her until she resisted.”
In his words, “investigation thus far reveals that the victim, in an attempt to stop the act, used a razor blade and cut the erect penis from penetrating her, leaving him with serious injury and currently receiving treatment in a hospital.”
Nguroje stated that the officer in charge of the command’s Family Support Unit has been instructed by the state commissioner of police, CP Afolabi Babatola, to assume responsibility for the investigation and guarantee thorough prosecution.
