Senator David Umahi, minister of works, has given the contractors in charge of the Abuja-Lokoja roads a two-month deadline to fix the problems.
On Thursday, the former governor of Ebonyi State said he was dissatisfied with some of the contractors in an interview on Channels Television.
In addition, the Minister stated that before formulating a plan to repair the roads, he would inspect the majority of federal highways in the nation to determine their state of dilapidation.
The contractors on the Abuja-Lokoja road have been told to resume work right away, and they have been given two months to fix all the problems, he said.
“Today I’m travelling to the Kaduna-Kano road, and on Tuesday I’ll be driving on the roads in the Southwest. I must evaluate the situation on my own.
