The Buda community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State experienced a horrifying incident three weeks ago when suspected terrorists kidnapped approximately 61 individuals.
Tragically, five of the victims have been confirmed dead. However, there is some relief as the abductors released 51 other victims on Tuesday after a ransom payment was made.
Unfortunately, the remaining five victims were not released as the bandits demanded an additional ransom.
A local vigilante, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed the release of the victims and revealed that all five individuals who were killed were men.

The released victims, including children, suffered greatly during their captivity, with some even being chained for weeks.
The conditions of some of the released victims worsened, with two individuals being shot in the legs.
They have been urgently transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
Maigari Ben, a resident and youth leader in the area, also confirmed the release of the victims and the tragic deaths of the other five individuals while in captivity.
