1. Germany: Job Seeker Visa
Germany’s Job Seeker Visa allows skilled individuals to enter the country for a duration of up to six months to seek employment. According to GermanyVisa.org, this initiative is part of Germany’s comprehensive strategy to mitigate labor shortages by drawing in foreign talent. Nigerian applicants interested in this visa must ensure they fulfill the eligibility requirements, which include possessing a recognized degree or qualifications in high-demand sectors such as healthcare, engineering, sales, dentistry, law, and others. Additionally, applicants must provide evidence of financial means. Once a job is secured, the visa can be converted into a work permit, paving the way for long-term residency.

2. Portugal: Work Visa
The Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs points out that this visa allows entry only for the purpose of searching for work. It is initially valid for 120 days, with the possibility of being extended for 60 days. If no work is found by the end of this period, the visa holder must leave the country. However, it is possible to reapply after one year. This visa is aimed at skilled professionals and offers many opportunities in the technology and tourism sectors. If you receive a job offer, you may be granted a work visa and/or residence permit.

3. Czech Republic: Long-Term Job-Seeking Visa
