40-Year-Old Man’s Body Found Inside Crocodile
The body of a 40-year-old man who went missing has been located inside a crocodile. Discover how this startling find was made.
Human remains have been found by police in north-eastern Australia within a crocodile, which they suspect belongs to the 40-year-old man from New South Wales who had gone missing.
On Saturday afternoon, in Far North Queensland near the Annan River Bridge, a suspected crocodile attack led to the man being reported missing.
On Tuesday, the Queensland police disclosed that formal identification procedures are in progress; however, it is thought that the remains can be accounted for as those of the absent individual. Supplementary examinations will ensue to authenticate their identity. As a consequence, efforts aimed at rescuing and looking for this person have been discontinued.

On Monday, it was reported by the local media that a sizable crocodile, assumed to be accountable for the lethal assault, underwent compassionate euthanasia.
The predator’s length reached almost five meters and its location was discovered approximately four kilometers away from where the individual disappeared; recognized through particular patterns on its snout. It is speculated that this decades-old reptile caused harm.
With his wife and children, the man was present at a well-known fishing spot when the incident occurred.
Additionally, authorities are scrutinizing social media posts suggesting that individuals were spotted feeding crocodiles close to where it occurred; in Australia, this is considered an illegal activity and could lead to fines of about $6,452 AUD ($4,188 USD).
On average, two crocodile attacks in Australia result in fatalities every year. One such incident occurred recently in July where a 12-year-old girl was tragically killed while she was located at the Northern Territory.
