A severe rainstorm wreaked havoc on the Igbonna community in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State, resulting in the destruction of at least 35 houses.
This unfortunate incident occurred shortly after a similar disaster struck Iyara community in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, leaving more than 1,000 people homeless.
The Head of Media and Publicity for the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, officially confirmed the recent rainstorm incident to the press on Friday.
Adekunle revealed that numerous residents were displaced as a result of the calamitous impact of the rainstorm on their residences.
The aftermath of the heavy rainstorm in Igbonna community has left many residents in a state of disarray, with a significant portion of the population struggling to find shelter.
