Afrobeats legend 2Baba has always been vocal about love, relationships, and the role of women in his life. His perspective sparks conversations on love, polygamy, and commitment.

For more than 26 years, Innocent Ujah Idibia has been a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry, earning widespread recognition under his stage name, 2Face.

Throughout the years, he has transitioned his stage name from 2Face to Tuface Idibia and now to 2Baba.

The Nigerian pop icon and musician, renowned for winning multiple awards such as an MTV Europe Music Award, a World Music Award, and five Headies Awards, has exemplified the phrase “One Love” until recent times.

2Baba’s story is a familiar one that resonates throughout every corner of Nigeria. He has experienced his share of everything, from relationships with women to musical controversies and encounters with the government.

2Baba officially launched his musical career as a member of the foundational group Plantashun Boiz. Influenced by hip-hop, R&B, and reggae, this trio was among the pioneers of new-school Nigerian music to gain nationwide popularity.

As a solo artist, 2Baba introduced Nigerian music to the international scene with his 2005 hit “African Queen.”

As of now, the 49-year-old continues to hold his place as one of Nigeria’s most esteemed artists.

Similarly, if there’s one thing that 2Baba consistently advocates for at every opportunity, it’s peace. However, it’s important to note that there is relative peace in the marriage and home of the renowned musician.

Despite being humble, generous, and wise, 2Baba has struggled to maintain relative peace in his personal life involving his seven children with three women: Sumbo Ajaba, Pero Adeniyi, and Annie Idibia.

His marriage to Annie was far from perfect, with numerous allegations of infidelity against the ‘African Queen’ star surfacing at various points during their relationship until it ultimately ended.

Although many were eagerly awaiting a new album, the singer surprised fans and music enthusiasts by announcing his separation from his wife of 12 years, Annie Macaulay.

He not only separated from Annie but also announced his plans to officially get a divorce before marrying Edo lawmaker and politician, Natasha Osawaru.

Following the announcement of his separation and impending divorce from Annie, the town has been buzzing with curiosity about the new woman in his life. To prevent rumors from spreading further, he took to social media to declare his love for Osawaru and shared plans to marry her soon.

Reports suggest that the singer might be expecting his eighth child with Osawaru, leading to varied reactions following 2Baba’s recent announcements.

He asserts that he stands by all his statements, even though they’ve caused a stir, and shares that he’s in love with Osawaru and hopes to marry her.
