Pius Anyim, a former Senate president and senior member of the People’s Democratic Party, was on Thursday returned from suspension by the party’s leadership.
Ayodele Fayose, the two-term governor of Ekiti State, was also recalled from suspension by the interim PDP chairman.
The troubled Dr. Iyorcha Ayu, who resigned as PDP National Chairman on Tuesday as a result of the never-ending issues that followed his leadership, removed both of them from the party.
After the Peoples Democratic Party’s National Working Committee’s Thursday examination, they were recalled.

Prof. Dennis Ityavyar, Dr. Aslam Aliyu, and the former governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, were among others whose suspensions were also removed on Thursday, according to a statement sent to media in Abuja by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba.
According to the statement, their suspensions were thoroughly considered, and a decision was made that was in the best interests of the party.
Part of it states: “This decision is without prejudice to the authority of the NWC to take appropriate disciplinary action against any Party member at any time in accordance with the PDP Constitution’s provisions (as amended in 2017).
The PDP Constitution (as modified in 2017) provisions, as well as the new spirit and imperative of reconciliation, peace, and harmony in our Party at this crucial time, are mandated by the NWC to all leaders, significant players, and teeming Party members across the nation.
