Chief Olabode George, the former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has made an appeal to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, urging him to reconsider his presidential ambition for 2027.
During an appearance on Arise Television, George emphasized the importance of allowing younger Nigerians to take the lead.
He highlighted that Atiku, who had been the PDP’s candidate in the previous two presidential elections, would be 81 years old in 2027, making him too old to effectively govern the country.
George suggested that Atiku should assume a role akin to a respected elder or mentor, rather than pursuing a ministerial position at his age. He emphasized the need to nurture the younger generation and remain steadfast in the party’s principles.
