Hugo Broos, the head coach of South Africa’s national team, Bafana Bafana, has revealed a preliminary squad of 36 players for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
The team is set to play against the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on June 7, followed by a match against Zimbabwe at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on June 11, 2024.

Broos is expected to finalize the squad by reducing it to 23 players in the coming days.
Currently, Bafana Bafana holds the second position in Group C with three points from two matches, while the Super Eagles are in third place with two points from the same number of games.
