Baltemar Brito, the head coach of Zimbabwe, has selected a preliminary 28-man team for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Nigeria.
On November 15, the Warriors will play Rwanda at Huye Stadium.
Four days later, Brito’s team will welcome the Super Eagles to the same pitch.
Most of the team’s players are foreign-based pros.

In preparation for the qualifications, Brito evaluated the players during a four-day session held last month.
During four intense training sessions, which included a practise match against a Northern area football league select, the coach and his crew worked with twenty players.
Zimbabwe has never participated in a World Cup match.
