Super Eagles goalie Stanley Nwabali claims that his squad is superior than South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

Next Friday in Uyo is the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Nigeria, which will rekindle their rivalry.

In their most recent encounter at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles defeated Hugo Broos’ team.

Bafana Bafana, who are in second place in Group C with three points, have a tiny advantage over the Super Eagles.

“I don’t think we can have any struggle in any game, especially in our group, with the kind of players we have. Football is the same everywhere. However, football is unpredictable,” the Chippa United goaltender stated to Lagos Talks.

“In terms of South African athletes, I would say I am familiar with them. I’m not talking about those men; we have good players in our nation as well, each with their own specialisation.

“I’m not talking about them because they can’t compare to us if we can put ourselves together.”
