2026 WCQ: Super Eagles Camp Grows as Lookman and Iwobi Arrive

The Super Eagles are now training in Uyo with 22 players in preparation for this Friday’s pivotal 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa.

Ademola Lookman of Atalanta of Italy and Alex Iwobi of Fulham are the newest players to report to camp.

On Tuesday afternoon, the pair arrived with ease at the team’s Ibom Hotel and Resort base.

The lone player to not have reported to the team’s training is Maduka Okoye, the custodian for Udinese of Italy.

It is anticipated that Lookman and Iwobi will participate in the Super Eagles’ penultimate practice prior to their match against Bafana Bafana later today evening.

The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium’s practice ground in Uyo will be the venue for the training.

On Sunday, the Super Eagles began getting ready for the qualifications.
