2026 WCQ: Chelle Unveils Super Eagles Squad for Rwanda, Zimbabwe – Full List

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has released the squad list for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. See the full list of players called up.

Eric Chelle, the new head coach of the Super Eagles, has announced his inaugural provisional squad.

Chelle has summoned 35 players for this month’s 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.

Captain Ahmed Musa rejoins the squad alongside assistant captain William Troost-Ekong and midfielder Joe Aribo.

Chelle has introduced six new individuals, combining seasoned expertise with emerging talent.

Local talents Papa Mustapha, Kayode Bankole, and Ifeanyi Emmanuel Onyebuchi have been called up.

The Eagles are scheduled to play an away match in Kigali on March 21, followed by a home game against Zimbabwe on March 25.

Stanley Nwabali from Chippa United in South Africa, Maduka Okoye of Udinese in Italy, Amas Obasogie associated with Singida Black Stars in Tanzania, Adeleye Adebayo playing for Enosis Neon Paralimni in Cyprus, and Kayode Bankole representing Remo Stars in Nigeria.

Defenders

William Troost-Ekong (Al Khalood, Saudi Arabia), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Fenerbahce, Turkey), Bruno Onyemaechi (Olympiacos, Greece), Gabriel Osho (AJ Auxerre, France), Calvin Bassey and Ola Aina are both based in England playing for Fulham and Nottingham Forest respectively. Zaidu Sanusi represents FC Porto in Portugal while Igoh Ogbu is with Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic. Jordan Torunarigha plays for Gent in Belgium and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi is part of Enugu Rangers in Nigeria.
