Hugo Broos, head coach of Bafana Bafana, has selected a formidable 23-man roster for his team’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchups against Zimbabwe and Nigeria, according to the Obasanjonews.com.
Last Monday, Broos revealed his 36-man preliminary team for the two games.
Thirteen players have now been removed from the squad by the Belgian.
Among the regular stars who make up the squad are Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena, captain Rowen Williams, and Al Ahly attacker Percy Tau.
The three most notable newcomers are Siyabonga Ngezana, Relebohile Mofokeng, and returnee Lyle Foster.

There was unfortunately no room for Evidence Makgopa, Mihlali Mayambela Tapelo Xoki and Thabiso Monyane.
On Friday, June 7, South Africa and the Super Eagles will play at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
On Tuesday, June 11, Bafana Bafana will play the Warriors at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
With three points, they are presently positioned in second place in Group C.
