2024 NABTEB NBC/NTC Examination Results Now Released

NABTEB has released the 2024 NBC/NTC exam results. Learn how students can access their results and key statistics from this year’s exams.

The National Business and Technical Exams Board (NABTEB) has officially released the results of the 2024 inter-school examinations for the National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC).

The announcement was made by the Acting Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nathia Asanga, speaking at a press conference at the NABTEB headquarters in Benin City on Thursday. Dr. Asanga announced that a total of 67,751 candidates registered for the June and July examinations at 1,708 centres across the country, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The candidates were registered in various fields including 16 technical occupations, seven construction occupations, nine other occupations, four commercial occupations and 16 general education subjects. Of the

registered candidates, 67,340 appeared for the exam, which represents a high examination success rate of 99.39%. 44,000 candidates representing about 65.34% obtained 5 credits or more including core subjects such as English and Mathematics.

Moreover, 92.42% of candidates, about 62,235, obtained 5 credits or more with or without these two subjects.

Dr. Asanga highlighted that there has been a significant increase in the number of certified artisans. 68.64% of candidates are now certified compared to 51.93% in 2023.

He also expressed optimism that the timely release of results would facilitate smooth admission of candidates to universities across the country.

The increase in successful candidates is seen as a major step forward for technical education in Nigeria, as NABTEB reaffirms its commitment to equipping young Nigerians with the skills required to succeed in various technical and professional fields.
