Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, has received the backing of The Faithful Group (TFG), a political organization close to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
This is stated in a statement provided to journalists on Saturday in Ibadan and signed by its National Coordinator, Olusola Orelaja.
According to The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), TFG received a certificate of recognition after endorsing Tinubu as a member of the Tinubu Faithful Group (TFG).
After the APC Presidential Primaries, he added, “we conducted multiple executive meetings and came to a progressive decision to endorse Tinubu, the APC flagbearer with capacity and competence.”
Orelaja, who is also the National President of the Our Nation For Justice Initiative (ONAJI), expressed his admiration for Tinubu’s forgiveness and visit to Osinbajo’s residence following the primaries.
He said the TFG members’ morale would be raised by Tinubu’s activities, which would encourage them to run for office and guarantee Tinubu won the presidency in 2023.
“Tinubu is a leader with vision. He has a sympathetic nature. Members of the TFG in Nigeria’s states and the Diaspora are prepared to help him.
I can state with authority that Tinubu has paid the necessary fees to hold the office of President of Nigeria, and it is quite evident that none of the other candidates can compare to his democratic credentials.
Considering his accomplishments as governor of Lagos State over the last 23 years, Orelaja remarked, “He has an unrivaled track record as a public servant.”
According to the TFG coordinator, Tinubu had the strongest credentials, exposure, and expertise.
According to Orelaja, Nigeria needs a capable, non-tribal leader who would foster both national unity and prosperity.
This group sees the Tinubu campaign as a responsibility. In order to spread the Tinubu/Shettima message, we would knock on every door, speak to every Nigerian, and tour the whole length and width of the nation, he said.
Before the 2023 presidential elections and beyond, he prayed to God for strength, good health, and the necessary knowledge.
