Tukur Buratai, a former chief of the army staff, has urged Nigerians to support Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
In a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja, Buratai made the call.
The recently retired Nigerian ambassador to the Benin Republic urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu, saying the presidential contender has the country’s best interests at heart.
Buratai also urged Nigerians to put aside their prejudices and feelings and act in the nation’s best interests.
“I want to implore all Nigerian voters to cast Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as their future president by turning out in large numbers.

“I say this because he has good intentions for Nigeria and a superior strategy to turn the nation around and lead it to the Promised Land.
“The proof is quite clear for everyone to see; he has already done it in Lagos, and I am confident he has the resources and ability to repeat what he achieved throughout the nation.
“Let’s all work together to save this nation by choosing capable leaders.
“This election will be peaceful, free, and fair,” he declared. “Nigerians have no need to fear anything.”
