On Saturday, there was a tiff over the Labour Party (LP) presidential rally in Lagos State between the camps of Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Supporters of LP presidential candidate Peter Obi started walking from the Lekki-Epe motorway to Lagos’ Tafawa Balewa Square.

According to reports, the event severely congested traffic on the Lekki-Epe motorway.

In response, Bayo Onanuga, the director of media and publicity for Tinubu-Shettima, accused Obi of running an impolite campaign.

Onanuga accused Obi of upsetting the residents of Lagos State in a tweet.

Peter Obi and his followers are participating in a road walk in Lagos, which is jamming up the already congested Lekki-Epe motorway, according to Onanuga.

“His rally is on the island at TBS. But he decided to make Lagosians uncomfortable. An impolite method of campaigning in our city.

Phrank Shaibu, a spokesman for Atiku, questioned why Onanuga would be upset with Obi’s rally.

Shaibu described how MC Oluomo stopped Christians from attending church on October 9, 2022, when he was organising a walk for Tinubu.

He asked Onanuga if Atiku and Obi had voiced their displeasure with MC Oluomo’s behaviour.

“@officialABAT’s illness seems contagious! When MC Oluomo staged a walk for Tinubu on Sunday, October 9, 2022, did he not stop Christians from attending church?

“Have fans of @atiku or @PeterObi voiced complaints? He tweeted, “@OfficialAPCN & Moslem/Moslem ticket.”
