The general elections in 2023, according to Obasanjo, ought to mark a turning point for Nigeria.

In a statement released on Sunday, Obasanjo‘s spokeswoman Kehinde Akinyemi said that Obasanjo had expressed support for a transition in the country’s leadership from the North to the South.
“The elections in 2023 should mark a turning point if Nigeria is prepared to do things correctly. The feeling that will ruin us shouldn’t be pursued, he said.
He also exhorted the Middle-Belt area to keep pushing for a rotating presidency for the nation.
