The All Progressives Congress (APC) is expected to win the governor’s race next year by any means necessary, according to Abdullahi Abbas, the party’s chairman in Kano State.

Speaking during the party’s flag-off for its gubernatorial campaign in Gaya, Abbas asserted that the APC cannot be defeated because it is the party in power in the state.

“People are telling me to stop stating that the APC will take Kano by whatever means necessary.
This group needs to know that the APC would take Kano by whatever means necessary.
We have shown today that we are determined to win the election in 2023 from top to bottom.

“APC is based in Gaya, as you are aware; no other political party can compete with our power and support.

To keep our hegemony, we’re prepared to grab the bull by the horns.
Our nominee, Gawuna, will take over as governor of Kano State in the near future.

The colorful occasion where our gubernatorial candidate would receive his flag from the President, who would be here in Kano for the purpose of gifting him the flag, has been fully prepared, he claimed.

The party is surrounded by wise people who can pull a surprise when it comes to winning elections, he continued, adding that the APC’s acceptance and respect in Kano State are never in question. He emphasized that the party has carried out its mission throughout the previous eight years.

Speaking in the same vein, Dr. Nasiru Yusif Gawuna, a candidate for governor who is also the deputy governor, said he is ready for the fight ahead since he has Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s and the party’s top leaders’ unwavering support.

“I want to think that God controls my fate and that nothing could possibly prevent me from winning the race if it were God’s desire. Our party is still strong and alive, and we are prepared to persevere in the face of any obstacles, he said.
