Festus Okoye, the INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, made the announcement yesterday on Channel Television’s Sunday Politics.
Okoye asked voters to help the commission make sure that the upcoming elections will be fair and free.
He said, “We got rid of polling places in the mansions of traditional rulers, polling places near the homes of politicians, polling places inside temples, and other places we thought weren’t good for holding elections.”
