Femi Fani-Kayode is the spokesman for the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Department of State Services (DSS) has asked him to come in because there are rumours of a coup plot before the election in February.
Fani-Kayode said he would accept the DSS’s invitation in a statement that was released on Monday.
The following is a portion of the statement: “Three days ago, on the day that I tweeted about newspaper stories saying that Atiku was covertly meeting with Army generals, I received a text message from someone claiming to be DSS demanding that I report to them on a matter of national security.
“The invitation was rejected since it was ambiguous and I wasn’t sure whether it was actually from the DSS.” In any event, I didn’t want to leave the house unless I received an official invitation. To my astonishment, I received a formal letter from them directing me to visit their office as soon as possible—two days from that point, which was last night.
“I called them and was told to take the situation seriously and show up at the appointed time and day, or worse could occur.”
I don’t fear my own shadow, and I don’t shudder and shake when I’m invited by the security agencies, unlike cowards like Emefiele, Atiku, and their weird bedfellows. Because it is the correct and proper thing to do, I always accept their invitations when they are extended in a formal manner.
“This is especially true when it touches on issues related to national security, which I take extremely seriously, and when it includes organisations like the DSS, which are diligent and professional in their approach and techniques.”

“Since I have nothing to conceal, I will appear before the DSS this morning as requested.”
Whatever happens to me now or in the future, know that as long as I have life in me, I will fight against the darkness and evil that they stand for. I maintain my absolute hatred for Atiku and the vermin that are surrounding him.
Obasanjonews24 cites the assertion made by FFK, a former minister of aviation, that the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate and senior military officials met in secret last week.
He said that the meeting might be part of a plot to start a coup d’état and put in place a government that isn’t democratic.
In response, though, the Defense Headquarters said that there were no plans to stop the general elections and that the military forces were still committed to the constitution and the civil government.
