2023: “I feel sorry for you, Obasanjo;” criticises Peter Obi for his endorsement-Tinubu
Following Peter Obi’s support by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed his sympathy for his Labor Party (LP) rival.
Obi is at risk for associating with the former president, according to Tinubu, who said that Obasanjo cannot win his electoral district.
Nobody in Ogun State, according to Tinubu, could rely on Obasanjo to become governor or a council member, according to Mr. Bayo Onanuga, director of media and publicity for the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The APC candidate for president said that no one has ever been elected president of Nigeria thanks to the prior leader.
According to what Onanuga said, President Obasanjo has not been able to rig a Nigerian election since then.
“No one can depend on his backing or endorsement to become a governor or councillor, not even in Ogun State.”
“We feel bad for Peter Obi because we know Chief Obasanjo can’t win his voting unit and ward in Abeokuta for Obi in the upcoming presidential election on February 25, 2023.”
Obasanjo’s support for Obi, according to Tinubu, is not “political cash” that the LP presidential candidate may use to travel abroad.

The previous president was not “a political force” in Nigeria, he said.
The former governor of Lagos State brought up the fact that Obasanjo backed Atiku Abubakar for president instead of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
However, he pointed out that Buhari easily defeated Atiku with his help.
When Tinubu easily defeats Obi in February, he will fulfil his promise to make history repeat itself.
