2023: FG criticizes Atiku “you reside in Dubai and don’t actually know Nigeria”
The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has come under fire from the Federal Government of Nigeria over a recent remark he made on the performance of the Buhari Administration.
During his campaign in Akure, Atiku claimed that the Buhari administration had done nothing for Nigerians during its eight years in power.
However, Atiku might not be aware of what is happening in Nigeria because he currently stays in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, according to Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, who was addressing the seventh edition of PMB Administration Scorecard on Monday in Abuja.
The PMB Administration Scorecard series, which highlights the accomplishments of the Buhari administration, was introduced in October.
Atiku, according to Mohammed, is at the vanguard of certain presidential contenders who, in their hunger for power ahead of the 2023 elections, tend to minimize the accomplishments of the Buhari Administration.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential contender and a former vice president, has been the biggest culprit in this respect, he claimed.
“The former vice president was cited as declaring that the APC had done nothing for Nigeria in eight years during his recent campaign in Akure.
What a ridiculous claim from someone who ought to know better.
The minister said, “I guess we can excuse His Excellency the former Vice President who, until recently, had fully relocated to Dubai, thus losing touch with Nigeria. “The minister also emphasized some of the accomplishments of the Buhari Administration in the areas of security and social employment in Adamawa, the former vice president’s home state.
