2023 elections: Pregnant woman dies away while waiting to cast her ballot
In the Tsafe District of Zamfara State, a pregnant woman named Shamsiya Ibrahim fell and passed away on Saturday while in line to cast her ballot.
The pregnant woman reportedly slumped and was brought to Tsafe General Hospital, where upon arrival, it was determined that she had passed away.
To cast her ballot, Shamsiya travelled from the Bungudu Local Government’s Kotorkoshi district to Tsafe town, a distance of around 50 kilometres.
Regarding the terrible development, the authorities have not yet issued a formal statement.
