After an ICT assessment, the Federal Civil Service’s top 18 directors were shortlisted for the next round of permanent secretary recruitment.
Even still, the directors from the states of Bauchi and Ebonyi were left out since they did not pass the evaluation.
Following their successful completion of Stages 1 and 2 of the exercise, the under-listed 18 candidates were called to the oral interview stage of the procedure for the appointment of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, according to an OHCSF memo.

Remember that four of the original 85 directors who were shortlisted for the written evaluation were not present.
It was discovered that just twenty directors were invited to move on to the ICT proficiency stage after passing the exam.
A November 7, 2023, memo from the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation states that the 61 directors who did not pass the exam received a score of less than fifty percent, excluding them from the competition.
According to a circular issued by the OHCSF on September 25, 2023, it was previously stated that the Federal Government would begin accepting applications for new permanent secretaries on October 9, 2023.
The OHCSF had issued a request earlier in August for directors on Grade Level 17 to submit applications in order to fill both open positions and new ones for permanent secretaries.
