The early-morning fire in the Gwale Local Government Secretariat on Wednesday, which damaged 17 offices, was confirmed by the Kano State Fire Service.
Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, the public relations officer for the agency, verified the occurrence to the News Agency of Nigeria in Kano.

According to Abdullahi, the incident happened early on Wednesday morning.
Around 03:43 in the morning, Abdullahi Hassan alerted us of a fire outbreak at the Gwale Secretariat by distress call.
“As soon as we got the information, we dispatched a fire truck to the scene at roughly 03:46 a.m. to put out the fire,” he said.
According to Abdullahi, the ground level, measuring roughly 300 by 200 feet and used for offices, as well as the remaining 17, were entirely demolished.
In addition, he reported that a 406 Peugeot, a Haice bus, and an ambulance station waggon had minor fire damage.
He claimed that the service was looking into what caused the fire.
