Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration on Wednesday for what he called the unfair selection of security agency directors.
“A national unity government will be formed by the PDP.
Members of the opposition who would have lost will be brought in, and we will naturally go on after that.
During an interactive session with members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Atiku said that only now would we start to work toward unifying our nation.
We now have 17 leaders of different security agencies.
I won’t do it because they are all from the North.
In these security costumes, I’ll make sure every geopolitical region is represented.
This is another another method to bind this nation together and instill a sense of belonging throughout the whole nation.

He stated his aim to maintain the PDP’s economic policies, which according to him include liberalizing the economy and supporting the private sector to generate wealth and employment in plain, uncomplicated words.
“Economic liberalization has several facets. The goal of empowering the private sector is wide, and it will undoubtedly continue as our state firms are privatized. In other words, (we will develop) an economy that is more based on the private sector,” he continued.
