16 people lose their lives in a devastating road accident in Kaduna

On Sunday, a tragic road accident took place in the Makarfi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the loss of sixteen lives and leaving four others injured.

The incident occurred at around 11:20 am in the Tashar Yari area, involving a bus that was traveling from Kano to Markudi in Benue State.

According to a statement by Kabir Nadabo, the Kaduna State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident was caused by overspeeding, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and collide with a ditch. Initial investigations revealed that a total of twenty individuals were involved in the crash, with sixteen fatalities.

The four injured individuals were promptly taken to Makarfi General Hospital for immediate medical attention.
