16 People Died from Burns in an Osun Automobile Crash

According to the investigation, the accident was caused by a speeding violation that resulted in a loss of control.

In an automobile accident in the Odeomu district of Osun State, sixteen people were burned to death and other victims were injured.

The deadly collision included a white commercial Mazda Bus with the license plate APP834XT and a white Lexus Jeep with the license plate LSR304HW. It happened in front of Mat Oil.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesperson for the Osun State Command, Mrs. Agnes Ogungbemi, confirmed the tragedy and stated that some of the victims were burned beyond recognition.

She said that the injured had been transported to the town’s Ise-Oluwa Medical Center for prompt medical care.

The catastrophe on Saturday claimed the lives of 11 adults and 5 kids. Four additional people were hurt, but only one was identified and taken away by the family.

According to the investigation, the accident was caused by a speeding violation that resulted in a loss of control. The bus’s gas cylinder exploded as a result of the collision’s impact.

The FRSC rescue team worked with officers and personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Odeomu Division to transport the burned dead and deposit them at the morgue of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital in Osogbo, Osun State.

Following the incident, FRSC Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu issued a warning to motorists advising them not to transport explosives like gas cylinders in passenger cars.
