14 online scammers were jailed in Edo

In front of Judge Efe Ikponmwonba of the Edo State High Court in Benin City, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, was successful in getting the convictions of 14 internet fraudsters.

The suspects were each charged with one count of false impersonation by the EFCC’s Benin Zonal Command on Tuesday.

Gift Patrick, Lucky Paul Omofureta, Elvis John Mathew, Jeremiah Rebirth Umoru, Alex Aimuawosa Yuodegha, and Daniel Mathew were named as the individuals.

Others include Godspower Osabuohien, Wisdom Christopher, Favour Osaghale, Edefe Isaiah, Ese Isaiah, Osas Igho Amos, Destiny Aghayere, Christian Oghenekewe, and Osas Igho Amos.
