14 countries qualified for the knockout stage of the 2022 World Cup
For the 2022 World Cup, at least 14 nations have secured their spots in the Round of 16.
Spain, Japan, Morocco, and Croatia all formally accepted their invitations to the knockout rounds on Thursday.
Spain advanced despite losing to Japan 2-1, the group’s victor.
Morocco defeated Canada 2-1, while Croatia and Belgium drew 0-0.
In the Round of 16, they all join England, Senegal, the Netherlands, the United States, Argentina, Poland, Australia, Brazil, France, and Portugal.
The Netherlands will play the United States, France will play Poland, Argentina will play Australia, and England will play Senegal.
Morocco will play Spain, while Japan will play Croatia.
