The number of casualties resulting from the assault on Crocus City Hall in Moscow Region has risen to 133, as confirmed by Russia’s Investigative Committee. Rescue operations are ongoing to search for survivors amidst the wreckage caused by a significant fire initiated by the assailants.
The initial count of victims was 115, with concerns that this figure may escalate due to the extensive damage sustained by the venue. Additionally, more than 150 individuals suffered injuries during the violent incident.
Armed with assault rifles, at least four suspects forcibly entered the concert hall before a rock performance on Friday night. They proceeded to indiscriminately shoot at civilians from close range and then set the premises ablaze.
Following the attack, the perpetrators fled the scene but were later captured by Russian authorities near the border in Bryansk Region. Investigations suggest that the attackers had intentions of crossing into Ukraine.
