Iro Danladi, the Sector Commandant of the Federal Roads Safety Corps in Zamfara, has reported that an automobile accident on Gusau-Funtua Road on Wednesday claimed the lives of twelve individuals.
The Zamfara State Mass Transport Company’s eighteen-seater bus and a truck were involved in the collision, Danladi informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
During the time of the tragedy, he said, the bus was carrying 25 passengers.

Danladi clarified that all thirteen of the other passengers were hospitalised at Tsafe General Hospital in Zamfara due to injuries they received.
Overspeeding and improper overtaking caused a head-on accident, according to the sector commander, who also took responsibility for the crash.
Among other moving infractions, Danladi cautioned drivers against overloading, erroneous passing, and excessive speeding.
