12 LGAs in Kaduna witness displacement of 289,375 people due to bandit activities
The Executive Secretary of KADSEMA, Usman Mazadu, provided an update on the number of residents displaced by bandits in Kaduna State.
Mazadu revealed that a staggering 289,375 individuals have been displaced across 12 local government areas (LGAs) in the state.
These figures were announced during the distribution of palliatives at Maraban Kajuru, Kajuru LGA. Mazadu emphasized that these numbers represent more than just statistics;

they represent the lives, dreams, and resilience of the people affected by these unfortunate events.
He further highlighted that 551 communities have been impacted by the activities of the bandits, with Chikun LGA alone accounting for 26,345 displaced individuals.
Additionally, Birnin Gwari has seen 84 affected communities and 70,893 displaced people.
The distribution of relief materials is a significant initiative aimed at providing support to those affected by these events, aligning with the governor’s seven-point agenda and his N11.4 billion palliative program.
The palliatives will be extended to all affected communities in the 12 LGAs.
